Our Sponsored Charities

One of the key tenants of Free Masonry is relief; helping or assisting others. The charities on which SCF will focus initially, are: the Masonic Children’s Home in Fremont, Nebraska; the annual Marching Band Camp; and the Nebraska CHIP program. A new area of support by SCF will provide scholarships for seniors graduating from selected high schools intending to attend an institution of higher learning. This will include trade or vocational training schools.

MASONIC CHILDREN'S HOME

The purpose of the Children’s Home is to provide quality care for children who have been separated from their homes due to Death, Divorce, Separation, Neglect, Abuse or Inability to adjust to their present living situation.

The Children’s Home seeks to provide an environment of love, security and acceptance where a child can grow and develop as an individual.

NEBRASKA CHIP PROGRAM

CHIP is an acronym for CHild Identification Program*. The Masonic CHIP Kit is recognized by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as the most comprehensive service of its kind anywhere. CHIP is provided at no charge to the public and all of the identifying items generated during CHIP are given to the child’s family.

MARCHING BAND CAMP

The Masonic All-Star Marching Band Camp is a one-week camp held in conjunction with the Nebraska Shrine Bowl on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Kearney. Nebraska Blue Lodges, Eastern Star Chapters, Shrine Clubs, Scottish and York Rite Bodies, individuals and companies sponsor high school band students from all over the state to attend this first-rate marching band camp.

SHILOH CHARITIES SCHOLARSHIPS

Shiloh Charities believes one of the strengths of a community is its’ young people and their future. To add credence to this belief, SCF provides scholarships to worthy young people from selected Omaha area high school wanting to continue their education. These young people will be chosen from students recommended by their teachers and counselors and who have met the scholarship criteria. The scholarships may be granted to a two/four year college/university or a vocational/trade school.
